CASTLE WEDDING IN AUSTRIA: KIM & MARKUS GETTING MARRIED IN IN THE MARQUEE OF GINSELBERG CASTLE
Once upon a time, there was a newly engaged couple in pursuit of the appropriate Marquee for their wedding. They discovered a small family tent company in the north of England. Everything there was made by hand and the quality of the material was crucial for the family business. They used spruce wood, cotton for the fabrics and coconut fiber for the floor. The whole construction looked like a sailing ship. All the supports were made with special ropes, which are also used in shipping. The two lovers were overwhelmed and decided to bring this tent across the sea. After their wedding, they had the idea to share it with other future wedding couples.

The Marquee is now located in Scheibbs in Lower Austria near the Ginselberg Castle. In the 18th century a large mirror factory was located here. Ginselberg Castle was lovingly renovated and modernized in 2009 and 2010. The castle is surrounded by old trees in a historical park landscape. Due to its special location on the idyllic plateau, it is shielded from traffic noise. Here is where Kim and Markus found their perfect wedding location.
Before the wedding started, my imagination was already fired. I was curious about this special setting. Working in the field as a wedding photographer since 8 years by now, I am still thrilled to discover new places and to emerse myself into the respective cosmos of the future bride and groom. It was a perfect summer day. When I arrived, I was delighted to see the Marquee in the heart of the garden of the ancient castle. The Marquee Schloss Jeutendorf, indeed resembled a ship in a landscape. The large sails welcomed us and created a feeling of spirit of departure. The wedding couple was georgeous. Kim and Markus are two open and easy-going persons. As soon as we met, I knew that this is going to be an appealing and pleasant contact.
The wedding day started with the getting-ready in the stunning Ginselberg Castle. This palace has magnificent rooms with spacious windows, antique furniture and wooden ceilings. The mood was harmonious, and it was beautiful to see and to capture how Kim’s friends were engaged with heart and soul and helped her to prepare the bride dress.
The wedding ceremony took place outside in the impressive natural scenery. After the big excitement of the peak of the ceremonial and while the guests were at ease enjoying the relaxed get-together in the flourishing garden, we took a time out for our couple session. The light was just perfect. Kim and Markus were so natural, and sometimes it felt like they don’t even see the camera. I was moved by the feeling of trust I could notice between them. As many professional wedding photographers, I like to try out different locations and ideas, when doing couple shoots. Kim and Marcus were so open for everything, so we ended up with a great variety of expressive wedding portraits of the fresh married couple.
The wedding day closed with a lively and amused wedding party. There was movement, joy and laughter throughout the night. I also really enjoy kids at weddings. They often behave hilariously and most of all I just adore their authentic and pure charisma. I got the chance to capture a few of such moments during the wedding party in the evening.
The whole day was full of emotions, laughter and compassion. It was a pleasure being part of this amazing wedding with all those beautiful people. I was so happy when Kim and Markus told me that they were impressed by the photographic results and that they appreciated that I realized the whole wedding reportage in a pleasant and professional way. I want to thank the freshly born Mr. & Mrs. for their amazing feedback and for sharing some of their most memorable moments with me in this enchanting castle wedding venue in Austria.
